Introduction
This project aims to create a tangible collaboration tool to enhance communication between interior designers and clients. The tool enables real-time collaboration through features like mood boards, room layouts, and 3D views, bridging communication gaps and making abstract design concepts tangible. By involving clients in decision-making and instantly visualizing changes, the platform fosters engagement, reduces misunderstandings, and improves client satisfaction, offering a dynamic and innovative approach to interior design.
Research
I used a journey map to visualize the home design process from concept to completion. This tool helped me understand interactions between interior designers and homeowners, clarifying when specific input was needed. Defining these roles was crucial for anticipating needs and aligning expectations.
By identifying pain points and opportunities, I uncovered user frustrations and ways to enhance the experience. These insights guided the prototype design phase, helping prioritize and address key issues. Through iterative prototyping, I refined essential features to ensure the designs were both appealing and functional.
